Serving others and connecting with our community through the art of creating delicious food is deeply embedded in Brent and Dawn's DNA. This passion isn't just a hobby; it’s a heritage. Brent’s mother was an accomplished chef, and Dawn’s grandmother successfully owned and operated a beloved local restaurant for many years. Thus, opening BDS Food Hut (Brent & Dawn’s Food Hut) is a natural, heartfelt extension of who they are and the rich culinary lineage they inherited.

 

A Legacy of Excellence and Professional Mentorship

 

Brent and Dawn officially began their journey in the food service industry in 2006. Over the years, they have had the invaluable opportunity to be mentored by some truly amazing chefs and accomplished restaurant owners. These pivotal professionals not only shared their deep industry knowledge but also pushed Brent and Dawn to continuously grow, refine their expertise, and always strive to achieve the next level of culinary excellence. This commitment to professional development ensures that BDS Food Hut delivers consistency and quality in every single dish, from our signature gourmet burgers to our handmade sides and decadent desserts.

 

Building Memories on the Washington Coast

 

Opening BDS Food Hut right here on the Long Beach Peninsula in Ocean Park, Washington, is a lifelong dream realized. Brent holds countless cherished memories of visiting the area with his dad as a child, enjoying the unique charm of the Washington coast. Now, living here full-time and being active members of this incredible community is truly a fun blessing. Together with Dawn, they are dedicated to helping other families create their own lasting memories at this very special beach destination. They firmly believe that some of the best family memories are made around great food, and their menu reflects this philosophy.

 

Our Menu Philosophy: Quality Ingredients, Local Focus

 

At BDS Food Hut, our offerings are a blend of classic American fare and unique regional specialties. We specialize in scratch-made dishes like the "High Tide" Gyro (featuring seasoned beef and lamb with house-made tzatziki) and our critically-acclaimed Juicy Bacon Smash Burgers. We are committed to using high-quality ingredients to deliver meals that are satisfying and comforting.

Brent and Dawn are committed, hands-on leaders who champion the development of new ideas and innovative menu items. They have been incredibly fortunate to assemble an amazing, hard-working team of local professionals who share their profound passion for great food, exceptional hospitality, and serving the wonderful community of the Long Beach, WA area.
